About Me

I have always been passionate about helping others. The best feeling in the world is when you can help someone else, while silently going through your own storm.

Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE kids and always dreamt of one day owning my own daycare. In 2014, I obtained my Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I remember thinking to myself that there are a plethora of daycares out there. What else can I do to give back?

So I thought about becoming a foster parent. I love kids, but the thought of giving my babies back after I got attached didn’t sit well with me. There were also other determining factors that deterred me from fostering, but I knew I wanted to make a difference.

My goal in life is to leave a positive impact on everyone I meet. I want to be the reason someone says:

“Because of you, I didn’t give up.”

That’s when it came to me: I’m going to start a non-profit organization—a transitional home for young adults aging out of foster care.

That’s how and why Aged to Perfection was created!

Helping Foster Youth Transition Into Adulthood

> Every year in Texas, 7% (over 1,200) of the children in foster care “age out” of the system with nowhere to go, few if any basic life skills, and no one to encourage success.

“With knowledge of how the adolescent brain matures, adults can do more to ensure that the road leaving foster care will take young people to self-sufficiency and successful adulthood.”
